As a part of the Annual Vivian B. Adams School Open House,on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, the VBAS Family dedicated it’s new Nature Clubhouse/Outdoor Classroom.
The Clubhouse/Classroom was a vision of Greenhouse Manager, Starla Andrews. This rustic outdoor space was funded through a grant from Wiregrass Resource Conservation and Development. The handicapped accessible ramp was given in memory of Martha R. Shelley and in honor of Sallie R. Brannon by Ken and Ann Penuel of Fort Gaines, Georgia. Building materials and some labor was donated by Harris Construction Company.
This space provides an opportunity for individuals at VBAS to observe nature in the wooded area surrounding the campus; it is a chance to be on the “outside looking out.”
