Local Education Agency

Individualized instruction is provided in small classes with a typical student-to-teacher ratio of one teacher and two aides for seven to ten students.

Whenever possible, especially for children ages three to five, the mission is to prepare the student to integrate into the regular school system. If this is not possible, the student may continue enrollment until the end of his twenty-first year.

Individualized instruction is the focus with student to staff ratio commensurate with each student’s needs. Classes are conducted by in-class certified special education teachers with the help of teacher aides. The student composition of each class is based upon similar chronological age. Extended School Year (12 month) participation is encouraged when indicated in the student’s Individual Education Plan (IEP).

All student services are contracted through local school systems. All related services required by the IEP are provided to the student. Please contact your local school’s Special Education Department for details.
