Our Dr. Seuss Week “Grand Finale”

VBAS finished up our second Dr. Seuss Week in grand style…

Monday, our guest reader was Ozark’s Mayor Billy Blackwell.  Mayor Blackwell read “Mr. Brown Can Moo–Can You?”


On Tuesday, Miss Buttons ( Julie Gill with the Dale County Board of Education) read the classic “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish” and each of our students went fishing…catching a bag of Goldfish crackers for their snack !

Wednesday, we celebrated Dr. Seuss’ birthday with a cake…videos…and a visit from our own Cat in the Hat !!!

Mr. David Sprayberry, former director of VBAS, read “Green Eggs and Ham” on Thursday and we snacked on green eggs and ham !



We ended our week of celebration on Friday with the book “What Pet Should I Get ?” read by Susan Owens.  Here we are with our pets and our very own Cat in the Hat (Starla Andrews) and Thing One and Thing Two ( Crystal Dupree and Laura Hagler) !!
