The Boy Scouts of Troop 126
Posted on June 18, 2010 by Bob McMullenThe Boy Scouts from Vivian B. Adams School, Troop 126, held Summer Camp from the 6th through the 11th of June at the school this year. Those participating were Mr. Bill Meyer – Scoutmaster; Tony Walker – Junior Assistant Scoutmaster; Josh Albritton – Assistant Scoutmaster; (Indian Patrol) Cliff Peterson – Star Scout; Daniel Gullion – 1st Class Scout; Lewitt Wheelock – Star Scout; J. J. Lightel – Assistant Scoutmaster; (Bobcat Patrol) Charles Ammons – Star Scout; Charles Smith – Star Scout; and Josh Stokes – Tenderfoot Scout. The scouts worked on lashings (using 1×2 inch boards and ropes); Carpentry Merit Badge (building obstacles and frame for a putt-putt course); Signaling Merit Badge (using signal flags); Gardening Merit Badge (making planter boxes); and shooting (using a BB Gun Pistol). These scouts each worked hard and cooked their own supper meals and a desert with the close supervision of adult leaders.
